Visiting Cesis castle from April 1st

From April 1, Cesis castle complex visitors do not have to present Covid-19 certificates and wearing masks is not obligatory.

Before the visit, please note:

• The presence of persons with signs of respiratory infectious diseases, as well as people who are supposed to be in quarantine or isolation are not allowed in the castle territory;
• If a person has signs of an infectious disease (fever, cough, shortness of breath), castle staff have the right not to allow the person in the territory or ask them to leave;
• Please follow hygiene requirements and disinfect hands in designated areas;
• A distance of 2 meters from the rest of the visitors must be observed;
• No gathering of groups of people is allowed.

All areas of Cesis castle complex ar open to visitors: Cesis Art and History museum, Cesis Medieval castle, and Cesis Exhibition hall.

In Cesis History and Art Museum visitors can see the main historical exhibition and interior rooms, exhibition “The Charm of the Blue and White. English transfer-printed pottery in Latvian museums and private collections. (18th – 21st century) and from March 10 “New acquisitions in the collection of Cēsis History and Art Museum 2017-2021 ”?

In Cesis Medieval castle visitors can climb up the Western tower with candlelit lanterns and see the rest of the territory.

In Cesis Exhibition hall visitors can enjoy art exhibition “Pleners”, where works of art created at the annual Cesis Painting Plein Airs can be seen (from March 4).
